  Values section of mission statement

This post will finish up the last section of a series I have done on “how unions can improve their companies mission statements”.

I have myself have done this by rewriting our companies mission statement at swift to include some employee financial goals, (not just recognition) , in our mission statement.

this last section is what swift calls the “vision statemment”. my inserts will be bracket as follows: <my insert additions>.

THIS IS So you can see how lopsided these mission statements are against employees when it comes to sharing in tHe profits EMPLOYEES are expected to help create.

This is the first step for a capitalist union: get employee financial goals in the companies mission statement along with profit goals.

Both can be met. BUT if employees financial goals are not in the plan why would companies bother to worry about them. COMPANIES MAY even work against employee wages.

Here’s my revision OF Swift’s “guiding princi[ples and mission statement as amended by a_smart_union of capitalist employees and owners

Swift’s vision is an efficient nimble world class service organization that is focused on the customer <and employee financial wealth as well as profit goals>, we are aligned and working together at all levels to achieve our common goals. Our team enjoys our work and coworkers and this enthusiasm resonates both internally and externally.

We are on the leading edge of service <and employee pay> always innovating to add value to our customers, <profits, and employee income and benefits>.

OUR ORGANIZATION HAS INFORMATION AND RESOURCES THAT CAN BE EASILY ADAPTED TO ANALYZE AND MONITOR WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT <TO OUR CUSTOMERS, OWNERS, SHAREHOLDERS, DEBTHOLDERS, DIVIDEND STOCK OWNERS, AND EMPLOYEE FINANCIAL NEEDS AND WANTS> IN A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT.

OUR FINANCIAL <CORPORATE> HEALTH <AND EMPLOYEE FINANCIAL HEALTH> IS STRONG, GENERATIONG EXCESS CASH FLOWS <AS WELL AS EXTRA EMPLOYEE BENEFITS.

AND GROWING <CORPORATE> PROFITABILITY <ALONG WITH GROWING EPLOYEE PAY>, WILL YEAR AFTER YEAR PROMOTE A CULTURE THAT IS COST, EMPLOYEE PAY, AND ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS.

WE TRAIN , BUILD AND DEVELOP OUR EMPLOYEESTHROUGH PERPETUAL LEARNING <AND EARNING> OPPORTUNITIES TO EHHANCE EMPLOYEE SKILL SETS WHICH ENHANCE THE EMPLOYEE FINANCIAL REWARDS FOR GENERATING OUR PROFIT GOALS.

THIS IS HOW WE <FINANCIALLY RECOGNIZE ALL> OUR TALENTED PEOPLE <FOR GENERATING CREATING AND ACHIEVING OUR PROFIT GOALS, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME SECURING THEIR FUTURE WITH CONSTANTLY IMPROVING AND INCREASING FINANCIAL REWARDS.
